NatureConnectED - Hudson River Valley.
Connecting Generations Through Mountain, River, and Forest Learning
Program Mission
NatureConnectED Hudson Valley creates authentic learning communities where participants from preschool through adulthood explore the region's unique mountain-river ecosystems together. By breaking down age-segregated learning barriers, we foster deep connections between generations while building environmental stewardship rooted in the Hudson Valley's distinctive landscape of the Hudson Highlands River corridor, and historic agricultural heritage.
Join our monthly community gatherings where preschoolers share discoveries with teenagers, grandparents teach traditional knowledge to young families, and local experts guide hands-on explorations for all ages together. These multigenerational celebrations of learning create lasting connections between families while deepening everyone's relationship with our shared natural heritage—register today to become part of our growing community of nature learners!

Core Philosophy
Learning Flows in All Directions: We believe wisdom, curiosity, and insight move between all participants regardless of age. Preschoolers teach wonder, elementary students share discoveries, teenagers provide technological skills, and adults contribute life experience and cultural knowledge about our regional landscape.
Place-Based Education: Every learning experience is rooted in the Hudson Valley's distinctive geography—from Catskill Mountain forests to Hudson River waterfront, from heritage orchards to native plant communities. Participants become experts in their own mountain-and-river backyard.
Regional Heritage Partnership: Local organizations, heritage farmers, environmental experts, and families are integral learning partners, not just resources. The program builds lasting connections between participants and the Hudson Valley's agricultural and environmental community.
