🌬️ Breathe with the Earth

Invitation

Feel the Earth beneath you.
Move gently with your breath.
Discover how one peaceful moment can begin within.

👣 Move

Earth-Breath Movement

Find a comfortable place where you can feel supported by the Earth.

Stand, sit, or lie down.

Place your hands near your heart or rest them gently by your sides.

As you breathe in, slowly lift your arms toward the sky.

As you breathe out, lower your arms toward the Earth.

Try reaching upward like a growing plant.

Then soften downward like a leaf returning to the ground.

Repeat several times at a pace that feels natural for your body.

Pause and notice the quiet space between each movement.

🌿 Breathe

Three Earth Breaths

Take three slow breaths.

Breathe in…
Imagine drawing fresh air from the living world around you.

Breathe out…
Feel your body settling toward the Earth.

Breathe in…
Notice your chest, ribs, or belly gently expanding.

Breathe out…
Allow your shoulders, face, and hands to soften.

Let the Earth support you while your breath finds its own peaceful rhythm.

👀 Notice

Can you notice…

  • 🌍 the ground supporting your body

  • 🌬️ air moving across your skin

  • 🍃 leaves rising and falling in the breeze

  • 🌾 grasses bending and returning

  • 🐦 birds breathing, resting, or singing nearby

  • ☀️ sunlight warming one part of your body

  • 💓 your heartbeat before and after the practice

  • 🌱 one place inside your body that feels calmer

The living world is filled with movement, breath, rhythm, and rest.

💭 Wonder

  • How does the Earth support your body?

  • Where can you feel your breath moving?

  • What changes when you breathe more slowly?

  • Which movement helps you feel grounded?

  • How does the natural world move with the air?

  • Where does peace live within your body today?

🌎 Connect

Every breath connects us with the living world.

Plants release oxygen into the air, and our bodies receive it with each breath. As we breathe out, we return carbon dioxide that plants use as they grow.

This ongoing exchange connects people, plants, air, soil, water, and sunlight.

Breathing with awareness helps us experience this relationship and remember that we belong within the rhythms of Earth.

Peace can begin with one breath, one body, and one moment of connection.

🌈 Try Another Way

Try…

  • sitting with your back supported by a tree

  • lying on a blanket and watching the sky

  • placing one hand on your heart and one on your belly

  • opening your arms wide as you breathe in

  • reaching toward the Earth as you breathe out

  • moving with a partner at the same gentle pace

  • imagining that you are a flower opening and resting

  • practicing beside an open window when outdoor access is limited

Every body can discover its own way to breathe and move with the Earth.

❤️ Care for Yourself

Choose a safe and comfortable place to practice.

Breathe at a pace that feels natural.

Keep your movements small or remain still whenever that feels supportive.

Rest when your body asks you to pause.

Bring water and practice in the shade during warm weather.

Your body’s signals can guide the experience.

📸 Share

Take a photograph of the place where you practiced.

Or draw the shape your arms made as they moved between Earth and sky.

Invite someone to join you for three peaceful breaths.

Share one sound, movement, or sensation that helped you feel grounded.
